The Observer a United Kingdom based publication and newspaper online had a lot to say about online porn and how it is affecting the growth of new technologies that go beyond even the World Wide Web. Much of the article was mainly about how internet porn is pushing the envelope of mobile communications, but it really goes beyond just that. You also must realize that the article was written on March 3rd in 2002. Much has definitely changed since then and you have already seen much of what the industry has done for many things, phones just being one of them.

Since that time we have seen leaps in how both video and audio are handled, not just online but also how main stream media companies use both. It has allowed us to have streaming news casting, television feeds, simulcasting and so much more. Now if it had not been for the online adult entertainment industry, do you think we would be this far along with those technologies? I think not. Many of those technologies came from the fact that an adult porn webmaster and owner of a porn site wanted to be able to give their customers more. Not just to make money, but because people wanted to see it. So, they made it and then others started to use it.
